Blake’s Auto Body has been a leader in the collision repair industry for 40 years. The founder, Blake Andros, is a native Californian. He was born and raised in Marin and has strong family and community involvement. The Blake’s Team is constantly striving to better itself for our customers, and the community.

The following is a synopsis of the history of Blake’s Auto Body:

1972 At age 16, Blake Andros brought his motorcycle to a repair facility for a simple paint job. Six weeks later, he finally got his motorcycle back. It was then that Blake decided he wanted to learn how to paint and repair vehicles, with the premise of doing it much quicker and better to meet customer needs. He became an expert at meeting, and even exceeding customer expectations with his amazing turn-around-time.

1975 At only 19 years old Blake left college to open his first collision shop in San Francisco. His success led him to growth and the continued desire to please customers. Much of his clientele was from Marin County, so he decided to head back over the Golden Gate to help customers there.

1975 He became the Body Shop Manager of a Chevrolet Dealership in Corte Madera.

1980 At only 23 years old Blake opened Blake’s Auto Body in San Rafael. It was his first in a chain of many successful locations.

1986 Realizing the demand for another collision facility in Marin, Blake purchased M&T Auto Body in Novato, making it the second Blake’s Auto Body in Marin.

1998 The great success of the two Marin County facilities and their growing clientele from Sonoma County prompted Blake’s expansion into Sonoma County. The Fountain Grove Auto Body Shop in Santa Rosa was purchased in November, becoming location number three.

1999 Rohnert Park Towing was purchased and completely rebuilt to be the newest and fourth Blake’s Auto Body. This state-of-the-art facility has perfect flow for excellent repairs with speedy turn-around-time. The beautiful front office is a prelude to the efficient flow of the back shop. Blake’s Auto Body Rohnert Park is our corporate headquarters and also houses one of the largest solar power producing facilities in Northern California.

2004 Blake’s acquired Anthony’s North, a 10,000 square foot auto body facility across the street from their Rohnert Park location. The additional square footage was needed to keep up with the demand in Rohnert Park.

2006 Blake purchases another facility, but it’s a RESTAURANT! In August of 2006 Blake Andros and Marc Sebastian started remodeling Izzy’s Steaks and Chops in Corte Madera. They changed it to the delicious exciting “Izzy’s”.

2008 In the Spring Blake’s Auto Body makes another one of their facilities solar powered. Novato Blake’s takes another step for the environment.

2008 In August the Blake’s family of businesses expand again with the start of an IT company called Backoffice Technology Group.

2011 Novato Blake’s is expanded. Blake buys the Novato Advance Building adding 5000 square feet.

2011 Blake’s is the first to bring eco-friendly paints to Northern California

2014 Blake purchases the entire Santa Rosa Blake’s building, adding 6,000 square feet

2015 Santa Rosa Blake’s becomes solar powered

2016 Novato adds another 2000 square feet across the street on Vallejo Ave

FUTURE PLANS: To continue building our successes with our talented staff, maximizing our current locations, and further expansion!

“If you do your job right, your customers become salespeople. We strive for perfection and make it a policy to exceed our customer’s needs with every repair. They can then tell everyone how pleased they were with our service. I want ALL of our customers to be salespeople for my company.” -Blake Andros

Dear Readers,

Our primary goal is the safety of our team, customers, relationships, and community. While closely monitoring the information and updates from the various health and safety departments Blake’s has daily team meetings. We also implemented the following safety procedures:

  • Our team wears masks
  • Anyone entering the office is requested to wear a mask
  • Estimates are done outside. Customers can stay inside their vehicle.
  • Every vehicle gets wiped down with sanitizer when dropped off for a repair
  • Every vehicle gets sanitized again after the repair is completed

We understand your comfort level is key so also offer the option of complete touch-less vehicle estimates and/or repairs:

  • The initial estimate can be done on-line
  • An estimate can be scheduled for our estimator to meet you outside the office
  • For an estimate and/or repair the vehicle can be dropped off in front of our office, and the keys dropped in the key drop (this can be done during or after hours). This must be scheduled so we are expecting the keys.
  • Paperless transactions: We are able to email estimates for approval and authorization paperwork
  • Payments can be done virtually over the phone

Please feel free to call us to schedule your estimate and/or repair at this time or for a future date. We are here to make sure your vehicle is safe and accessible at all times, and are happy to help with any auto related questions.

All the best to you and yours,
Marc S. Sebastian, CEO
