Novato Chamber of Commerce 2014 Large Business of the Year

A wealth of community contributions and commitment to the local economy through a growing and trained work force are among best business practices employed by Blake’s Auto Body. The company’s support of the Novato community includes car donations to families in need; sponsorship to Novato Youth Center, sponsorship and coaching of Novato High School sports, Novato Theater, Novato Hospital, Shifting Gears Rally, Marin Symphony;  countless in-kind donations,  and Novato Chamber support as a 28-year member. Blake’s representatives have a history as Chamber volunteers – including 1996 Chamber President Ed Wiggins and current Chamber Ambassador Jordy Andros.

Outside the Box…

Congratulations to Blake’s for winning two more Telly Awards! Their two new commercials produced by Chuck Jessen, Young Picasso and Short Cut won the accolades at the 32nd annual Telly Awards-A National Event.

Blake’s has also won awards for what you might say is “outside the box” for a collision repair facility. They have won 38 awards in seven countries for their hilariously memorable television commercials.

Most recently Blake’s Autobody won 2 Telly Awards and a Silver ADDY award for its latest TV commercial, “No Parking,,” created by Jessen Productions, a local Marin-based company.

Blake’s received a Silver Telly Statuette, as a winner in the Auto Accessories category for Regional TV & Cable; and a Bronze Statuette as a finalist in the category for use of humor. “No Parking” also won a Silver ADDY award, District 14, and was a finalist at the London International Advertising Awards.

“No Parking” is just the latest award-winning TV commercial written, directed and produced for Blake’s Autobody by Mill Valley-resident, Chuck Jessen of Jessen Productions, with offices in San Francisco and Greenbrae. Other award-winning spots created by the Jessen/Blake’s partnership over the years include “Sledgehammer,” “Falling Star,” “Snow Plow,” “Hungry Bear,” and “Wrong Turn.” Several have been featured nationally on “World’s Funniest” commercials.


Dear Readers,

Our primary goal is the safety of our team, customers, relationships, and community. While closely monitoring the information and updates from the various health and safety departments Blake’s has daily team meetings. We also implemented the following safety procedures:

  • Our team wears masks
  • Anyone entering the office is requested to wear a mask
  • Estimates are done outside. Customers can stay inside their vehicle.
  • Every vehicle gets wiped down with sanitizer when dropped off for a repair
  • Every vehicle gets sanitized again after the repair is completed

We understand your comfort level is key so also offer the option of complete touch-less vehicle estimates and/or repairs:

  • The initial estimate can be done on-line
  • An estimate can be scheduled for our estimator to meet you outside the office
  • For an estimate and/or repair the vehicle can be dropped off in front of our office, and the keys dropped in the key drop (this can be done during or after hours). This must be scheduled so we are expecting the keys.
  • Paperless transactions: We are able to email estimates for approval and authorization paperwork
  • Payments can be done virtually over the phone
