ASE

ASE was created in 1972 to assist consumers in determining whether a mechanic/ auto body repair technician has the knowledge and skill to repair vehicles properly and safely. Candidates must pass a series of tests, provide proof of at least two years experience, and retest every five years to maintain certification.

Tests are categorized by automobile, trucks, school bus, engine machinists, parts specialists, alternate fuels technician, collision damage estimators, and collision repair and auto service consultants.

I-CAR Platinum

I-CAR Platinum is a distinguished designation to the most skillful and advanced facilities who possess the newest technology and training. The Platinum certification goes further than the I-Car Gold certification with increased qualification standards, testing, training, and maintenance requirements. Consumers can feel confident to trust a repair facility who is I-Car Platinum certified.
